Life's A Beach
Here is another 8.5 x 5.5 card made using Create-A-Critter and Simply Charmed cartridges. The base is made from white cardstock and each layer is cut 1/2" less then the base. I used two shades of blue cardstock with my Threading Water Fiskars punch that was used for the "waves". I used a piece of craft card stock cut at 1" placed at the bottom edge as a base for the beach. The sand, bucket and beach ball were cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge on page 51. The sand was cut 3 times at 4" to create a "hilly" effect. The bucket and sand in the front were cut at 3.25" and placed on pop dots for dimension. The beach ball was cut at 1.5". The crab is cut from Create-A-Critter page 40 at 2.5" and I only used the base because I wanted to use my PK-754 Peachy Keen Stamps. I ended up using the shadow feature because I felt that it made Mr. Crab "pop" a bit. The sun is cut from page 52 from the Create-A-Critter cartridge and I used my Gypsy to hide the facial features so that I could use my PK-754 Peachy Keen Stamps. The title is cut at 1" and I used Martha Stewart Crystal Fine Glitter and Recollections Gemstones and Flower Embellishments. I used white Tulle wrapped around the blue card stock with a pink button and some hemp cord in the middle. And last but not least, some doodling. Yes, I'm a doodler!!!!
